Industrial Engineering Technician NOC 22302

OmniLyte offers commercial water treatment systems that help businesses purify, disinfect, and optimize their water supply—without relying on harsh chemicals. Their Canadian office is located in Wawanesa, Manitoba, but they have locations in the USA as well. They are currently recruiting two (2) Industrial Engineering Technician NOC 22302 for their Wawanesa location.

 

Employment type: Permanent, full time (40h/week) (2 vacancies)

Main work location will be: OmniLyte Enviro Inc, 95041 RD 42N, Wawanesa, Manitoba, R0K 2G0. Approx. one week per month, travel to USA project sites are required.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Industrial Engineering Technician will be responsible for the technical support and services in the design and development of the automation of equipment capabilities.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

·        Collect and compile operational or experimental data and develop and carry out system design development related to the programs' equipment narratives and determine the process required for automation capabilities of the equipment.

·        Develop Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) programs using ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams

·        Develop manufacturing and processing procedures and variables by conducting root-cause analysis and troubleshoot issues affecting equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

·        Set machine or equipment controls, oversee production and inspect processes by: optimizing automation systems to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)  and improve equipment availability, performance, and quality.

·        Develop applications using CAD/CAM/SKYCAD (computer-assisted drafting, computer- assisted manufacturing) for the automation/programming of the control panel and other manufacturing processes and operations.

·        Collect and analyze data in support of quality assurance by developing system strategy monitoring and improving workflows and processes.

·        Enhance the manufacturing and processing procedures and variables, set machine or equipment controls, loading it, and inspect processes prior to testing.

·        Conduct work measurement or other studies by testing, validation, and maintenance readiness.

·        Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for automation, software, and instrumentation; develop maintenance procedures and user manuals to streamline technician workflows.

Requirements:

  • Proven relevant work experience as an Industrial Engineering Technician, preferrable within commercial water treatment systems.
  • At least a College degree in industrial automation systems, robotic fundamentals and/or mechanical engineering is required.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of team, take ownership of the work duties and responsibilities.
  • Candidate must be able to cross border with the USA.
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset
  • Must be able to communicate in the English language
